Angostura 1787 (15 Year) Dark Rum

A tribute to craftsmanship and tradition, Angostura 1787 is a super-premium dark rum aged for a minimum of 15 years in carefully selected charred American oak barrels. This exceptional rum is named after the year Trinidad’s first sugar mill began operations, reflecting the island’s rich heritage in rum-making.

Appearance: A deep, dark amber color with mahogany undertones.
Nose: A luxurious aroma of dried fruits, including prunes and raisins, complemented by hints of toasted oak, warm vanilla, and subtle spices.
Palate: Rich and complex, offering layers of flavors such as toffee, molasses, dark chocolate, and caramelized nuts, balanced with a delicate smokiness and whispers of cinnamon and nutmeg.

The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including double wooden pot stills and are aged in bourbon oak casks.Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country’s last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name “”El Dorado”” references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country’s Rupununi region.
