After 50 long years, Dublin’s finally getting a single pot still whiskey to call its own, making this release an important part of Irish Whiskey history as a whole. Produced from a recipe of 50% un-malted barley and 50% malted barley, distilled in Teeling’s very own distillery right here in Dublin, and aged fully for over 3 years in a range of virgin oak, ex-bourbon and ex wine casks.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Notes of hibiscus flowers, honeycomb, white grape flesh, grapefruit & citrus.
Palate: Hints of lychee, more white grape notes along with white pepper, warm, roasted peaches and baked biscuits.
Finish: Dry, with hints of spice, roasted almonds and maple sugar lingering in the mouth.
