Pokeno Revelation uses spring water from the volcanic hills surrounding the distillery in New Zealand. The barley comes from family-run farms located in the fertile south of the island. Revelation is also part of the distillery’s Corerange, which places a lot of emphasis on the New Zealand terroir for its bottlings. The Single Malt is a blend of distillates that are fully matured in first-fill bourbon casks and new red wine casks. They are then brought together for a final period of maturation in casks.

Oloroso sherry was used to season a combination of both American and European oak casks, with the former imparting vanilla nuances while the latter brings that hallmark Macallan spice. Another fantastic sherried single malt from the Speyside distillery! Tasting Notes Nose: Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg. Palate: Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus. Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.
