Origin is a New Zealand single malt whisky from Pokeno distillery. It's made using local barley and matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks. So expect plenty of silky vanilla and balanced spice from this highly approachable whisky.

Johnnie Walker® Double Black Label™ is a scotch whisky with more Islay whisky compared to the original Black Label, and it has a more intense flavor and smoke character profile while preserving the original Johnnie Walker whisky style. It's a full-bodied drink with an alcohol concentration of 40%. Its aroma hints the smell of dry oak and light stony smoke. The orange zest and apples coupled with vanilla and spices bring freshness and softness to the tongue, giving it a generally sweet taste. Serve a measure of the Double Black Label whisky over ice cubes topped with a soft drink for a great cocktail.

The Macallan treated this 18 Year Old to not just one, but two cask content-types for its maturation, released as part of the Double Cask series! Oloroso sherry was used to season a combination of both American and European oak casks, with the former imparting vanilla nuances while the latter brings that hallmark Macallan spice. Another fantastic sherried single malt from the Speyside distillery!

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruit, ginger and toffee. Rich orange with hints of clove and nutmeg.

Palate: Rich raisin and sultana with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger, balanced by wood spice and zesty citrus.

Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger, turning to sweet orange.

Nose: Honeyed cereals, Cadbury's Fruit and Nut, distant bonfire smoke, clementine and spring blossom.

Palate: Peanut brittle, candied peels, plump sultana, a whisper of floral malt gives it an aromatic mid-palate, before giving way to a whisper of dry, earthy smoke.

Finish: Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.
