Description :The Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva is a fine blend of traditional grape varieties grown in our own vineyard and in rigorously selected parcels by our partners.

The Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes are selected by our technical team and vinified in the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile bodega. Year after year, that subtle combination yields a round, complex and concentrated wine with attractively expressive fruit. Aging Half the vintage is matured in one-year-old oak barrels for 12 months. 25% new oak and 75% in 1-2 year old oak barrels.

Tasting notes

The nose opens on an elegant combination of red and black fruit aromas, followed with airing by elegant spice and roasted coffee-bean notes.

The palate has ripe red and black fruit flavors emerge on the attack, followed on the midpalate by powerful black fruit mingled with delicate spice and roasted coffee-bean notes. The fruit flavors found on the attack return, underpinned by beautifully refined tannins which give length and elegance to the finish.

Colour: Bright and deep ruby red.

Nose: The nose opens on black cherry and blackcurrant aromas, developing blackberry and spice notes mingles with touches of liquorice and roast coffee.

Palate: The attach is powerful and succulent. The creamy mid-palate gradually reveals raspberry and blackberry flavours, going on to express a perfect association of ripe black fruit and spicy, toasted notes. The finish reveals all the character of the Chilean terroir, perfectly combining Cabernet elegance with roundness and powerful flavours of Syrah and Carmenère.

On the nose :you will discover very distinctive aromas of tropical fruits, ripe apples, pears and a touch of spices that adds elegance and finesse. Moderate acidity with silky texture that is smooth to the finish.

Amazingly round for a Sauvignon Blanc, this wine develops aromas of yellow lemon, ripe white pear and slightly bitter aromas of orange peel. Medium body, round yet refreshing, this wine has a delicate, mouth-watering medium acidity that pleasantly persist after sipping.

Beautiful vivid pink with bright glints. Reminiscent of small red fruits with nuances of herbs and white pepper.

On the palate, it reveals fresh fruit flavors of wild strawberry. This rose has gentle acidity showing a smooth elegance and intensity.

Supple, juicy and fresh, this medium body wine displays blueberry and mulberry notes. Round tannins and subtle, long finish.

Deep garnet colour, almost pitch black, with ruby hues. Round, powerful with well-balanced tannins, this full body wine displays notes of dark fruits (plum, cherry, blackcurrant) combined with a savoury panel of soft spices such as liquorice, clove, black pepper and nutmeg. The final if long, dry and so powerful.
