Description The Baron Carl Saint-Émilion by  Baron Philippe de Rothschild appears in the glass in an intense red with garnet shimmering reflections. This French red wine from the renowned appetite of Bordelais shows on the palate aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, up to blackberry. These fruit aromas are accompanied by spicy notes of coffee and some vanilla.

On the palate it reveals elegant tannins as well as ripe fruit paired with a beautiful spice.

Its finish is powerful and harmonious.

Vinification of Baron Carl Saint-Emilion 81% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are vinified for this red wine from Saint-Emilion.

After destemming, the must is left on the mash to obtain all characteristic aromas from the berry skins and the pulp. After mash fermentation and subsequent gentle pressing, part of the wine is aged for 6 months in oak barrels.

Food pairing Try Rothschild’s Baron Carl Saint-Emilion with hearty meat dishes such as grilled steak or lamb shoulder, juicy grilled lamb cart with herbs, entrecotes, porcini mushrooms and wild boar or deer ragout.

Next it is so pleasing to the nose: initially reminiscent of yellow and white fruits, then of vanilla and later of brioche. JP. Chenet Medium Sweet Red, delicious aromas of red fruit - redcurrant and raspberry. This is a perfect wine to pair with hearty casseroles of red meat and spicy dishes.
