2019 Fontanafredda Gavi di Gavi DOCG

With the Fontanafredda Gavi di Gavi, a first-class white wine comes into the glass. Here he presents a wonderfully brilliant, platinum yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Fontanafredda reveals aromas of pears, kumquats, grapefruit, honeysuckle and pomelo, complemented by gingerbread spice, black tea and vanilla.

On the palate, the Gavi di Gavi from Fontana fredda starts out wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. Despite its dry taste, this white wine impresses with its juicy glaze and elegantly integrated residual sweetness. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Gavi di Gavi is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate.

In the finish, this youthful white wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region delights with its considerable length. Again there are hints of grapefruit and pomelo.

Vinification : This elegant white wine from Italy is made from the Cortese grape variety. In Piedmont, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, limestone, sandstone and marl. The grapes for this white wine from Italy are exclusively hand-picked when they are perfectly ripe. After the hand picking, the grapes reach the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken open. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for a few months before the wine is finally bottled. After the completion of the wine, the Gavi di Gavi is carefully harmonized.

On the nose intense fruity aromas of apricots, Golden apples and canned peaches blend with notes of candied fruit. Its palate is well-balanced, flavorful, fresh and supple with a fruity finish that brings back aromas perceived on the nose.

Villa Antinori Bianco is a white that comes from the union of several grape varieties in harmony with each other, coming exclusively from the owned vineyards, which maintains the spirit and principles that characterize the production style of the Antinori house.

It is produced with Trebbiano, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio and a small part of Riesling Renano, whose harvest takes place entirely by hand in the third decade of August. After a very soft pressing of the grapes, the must is transferred to steel where fermentation starts at a temperature that does not exceed 18 ° C.

The wine then ages in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve its freshness and aromatic composition. It is characterized by a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The perfume is fine and elegant, with fruity notes of banana and pineapple alternating with hints of white flowers. In the mouth it shows a balanced wine, pleasantly persistent and mineral. Ideal in the company of light fish dishes, it is excellent to combine with steamed vegetables.

Bardolino Classico is a red wine produced from the traditional (Classico) vineyard area at the heart of the Bardolino DOC in Veneto, north-eastern Italy.

Both of these appellations are based on the red grape varieties also associated with Valpolicella: Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella.
